The gruffalo

Everyone knows about the gruffalo!  But lets just give everyone a reminder.  The gruffalo by Julia Donaldson is about a small brown mouse.

Lots of animals ask him to have lunch with them but the mouse says he can't because he is having lunch with a gruffalo.  Of course the mouse doesn't even know that the gruffalo really exists.  So he walks in the forest and he sees a creature with purple prickles all down his back, a big green wart on his nose, knobbly knees...
The mouse says to the gruffalo something like "Everyone is scared of me, just wait and see."

Henry and Odin just love this book and ask me to read it all the time.  I know there is another book called The Gruffalo's Child but we haven't got that.  I think it would be a good idea to get it because the boys don't know about it and once they do... they will be excited!!

The Gruffalo is a brilliant book, especially for the really little ones.

Movie night

Yesterday was mummy's and daddy's wedding anniversary and so they went out on a date.  So while they were out Edward looked after us.
We watched 'A cloudy chance of meatballs 2' which everyone enjoyed.  We also had loads of sweets.  It was more than a treat!

Edward, the sugar monster!

Mother's Day gifts

Mothers day is so important to me because I have the loveliest mum.  I want to get her the best gifts.  So here are some of the gifts I would buy her:

Mummy would love the handbag because she only has one and doesn't like it very much.  She would love the nightie because it looks beautiful.  I think she would love the chocolate because she doesn't have sugar often.  I think she would love all of it.

I hope she has the best Mother's Day ever!

P.S The stars are actually earrings.

Wild Thing

Wild Thing by Emma Barnes is the funniest book ever!  Wild Thing is naughty and annoying.  Kate is Wild Thing's big sister and she wants to sell Wild Thing.

The Executioner's Daughter

The executioner's daughter by Jane Hardstaff is AMAZING!  I went to the library with mum and she picked up this book.  She thought I might like it.  So when we got home I read a chapter.  But then I ended up reading half the book!!!  You can really easily get into this book right from the beginning sentence.

If mum & dad won the lottery...

... I would buy a lot of nice things, that's for sure!  Here are some of the things I would definitely be buying:

A walk to the park

It was so sunny today so we decided to go for a walk to the park.  I let Imogen use my camera today so all the pictures are by her.

Yesterday it was foggier than ever before.  Just completely white!
We managed to take some photos.

Mummy took this photo.  I think it might be the best one.

Henry, my little brother

Henry is my youngest sibling.  He is so cute.  He pulls the cutest faces!  I love him so, so much.  I actually don't think I could survive without him.

The Diamond Thief

The Diamond Theif by Sharon Gosling is one of the best books I have ever read.  It gets into action straight away.  It is about a 16 teen year old girl, Remy Brunel, who is an excellent, highly skilled trapeze artist but also a ... diamond thief.

How does your garden grow?

This week I have seen some lovely signs of spring.  Lovely colours are popping up everywhere.  It makes me want to stay in the garden all day.  The colours are so bright and cheerful.
